International trains from Ukraine are once again opening up new horizons for travellers. In October, Ukrainians will have direct rail connections to Romania. Find out the schedule and ticket prices
From 10 October 2025, Ukrainians will be able to travel to Romania daily by direct train. This was announced by the Ministry of Community and Territorial Development. Here is all the detailed information about this route.
New international route
The train will run on the following route: Kyiv – Vinnytsia – Zhmerynka – Mohyliv-Podilskyi – Velchynets – Ungheni – Iasi – Bucharest. This will directly connect the capital of Ukraine with the main transport hub of Romania.

Kyiv - Bucharest train schedule
▪️ According to the information, departure from Kyiv is scheduled for 06:30, and arrival in Bucharest - at 06:47 the next day.
▪️ The return journey will depart from Bucharest at 19:10 and arrive in Kyiv at 19:41 the following day.
The train will stop at Bucharest's central station, Gara de Nord, from where passengers will be able to quickly reach the airport by high-speed electric trains.

Ticket prices
The price of a ticket in a compartment car will be about 3,800 UAH. Tickets can already be purchased in the official app or on the Ukrzaliznytsia website.

Reminder! Ukrainians and foreigners can travel between Ukraine and European Union countries by train.
