With the onset of autumn, the tourist season is coming to an end, and therefore passenger traffic across the Ukrainian-Polish border is gradually decreasing. This means that the situation with queues at checkpoints will become more stable, although delays are still possible during peak hours.

Queues at the Ukraine-Poland border: the current situation in September

Compared to the summer months, when passenger traffic grew by tens of percent and created kilometer-long queues, the number of travelers will decrease significantly in September. This is due to the end of vacations and holidays and a decrease in demand for short-term trips.

At the same time, the congestion at border crossing points remains different depending on the region and day of the week. On weekends and before holidays, there is a greater influx of people wishing to travel to Poland, which can lead to delays.

Situation at the Ukraine-Poland border: the busiest border crossing points

Traditionally, the longest queues are recorded at the following checkpoints:

● Krakivets-Korchova (Lviv region);

● Shehyni-Medyka (Lviv region);

● Rava-Ruska-Hrebenne (Lviv region).

The average traffic load is usually at the Grushiv-Budomierz and Uhryniv-Dolgobychiv checkpoints, while the lowest traffic load is at the Smilnytsia-Kroscienko and Nyzhankovychi-Malchovice checkpoints.

When planning your trip, please note that repairs are ongoing in Volyn, specifically at the Poland-Ukraine border crossing points “Yagodyn-Dorohusk” and “Ustyluh – Zosin”.

How to check queues online?

There are several ways to check queues at the Ukraine-Poland border:

● via the official website of the State Customs Service of Ukraine;

● using the interactive map of the State Border Guard Service.

In addition, up-to-date information about Ukraine-Poland border crossing points is regularly published on the official Telegram and Facebook pages of the State Border Guard Service and the State Customs Service.

By the way, when planning a route in your own car, don't forget about international car insurance “Green Card” — without it, you simply won't be allowed to cross the border.
