Foreign investors' interest in Ukraine's recovery continues to grow: almost 80% of companies say they are ready to participate in projects related to economic revival. They are attracted by the prospects of high profits, the country's strategic location, digitalisation and access to skilled labour. As Ukraine gradually approaches the stage of large-scale recovery, foreign investors' interest in participating in these processes continues to grow. According to the latest survey conducted among participants of Global Business for Ukraine and the European Business Association, 79% of foreign companies expressed interest in investment opportunities related to the country's recovery. Only 8% of respondents showed no interest, while 13% remain undecided.




What attracts investors to the Ukrainian economy


Among the factors influencing investment decisions, companies noted:


▪️ First-mover advantage — the opportunity to establish a foothold in the market before it becomes oversaturated.

▪️ Return on investment (ROI) — high potential for profit on invested funds.

▪️ Investment guarantees and risk insurance, especially in times of war.

▪️ Social impact combined with commercial success.

▪️ Stability of legislation, geopolitical situation and maturity of management systems.


Other advantages include a high level of digitalisation, rich resources, low labour costs and geographical proximity to EU markets.

Who is already investing and when are others expected to follow?


Of all the companies surveyed:


▪️ 49% already have investments in Ukraine, despite the war.

▪️ 23% are ready to start investing after the end of hostilities.

▪️ 17% are ready to invest even before the end of the war.

▪️ Infrastructure, transport, logistics — 25%

▪️ Construction and restoration — 19%

▪️ Energy and renewable energy sources — 17%

▪️ Agricultural sector and processing industry — 17%
