Teachers from 250 of the world's best universities will be invited to Ukrainian universities: details
Ukraine is launching an ambitious programme to invite lecturers from 250 leading universities around the world, including MIT, Harvard and Oxford, to teach at Ukrainian universities. Find out how the project will work
The Council of the President of Ukraine has approved the launch of a large-scale programme aimed at inviting lecturers from leading universities around the world. The initiative aims to improve the quality of education and strengthen international ties between Ukrainian universities.
How will cooperation with leading universities take place?
Ukraine plans to invite lecturers from 250 of the world's best universities. The list of potential partners includes the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), Harvard, Cambridge, Oxford, Columbia University and other prestigious educational institutions. Particular emphasis is placed on state-run foreign universities with which cooperation has previously been limited.
Unlike previous formats of cooperation, the programme will not only include remote lectures. Foreign experts will come to Ukraine and teach classes in classrooms for 3-9 months. This will allow students to gain live experience communicating with world-class teachers and directly acquire advanced knowledge.

How will teachers be selected?
Candidates will be selected online through an electronic system. Experts will carefully analyse each application according to established criteria and rank the candidates. After the resolution is approved by the Cabinet of Ministers, a competition will be announced, and Ukrainian universities will be able to start inviting foreign lecturers.
Deputy Head of the President's Office Olena Kovalskaya emphasised that the programme should not only improve the quality of education but also encourage students who left the country due to the war to return. In addition, such an exchange of experience will help Ukrainian universities improve their positions in world rankings and become more competitive in the international arena.
By the way, we previously reported that Ukrainian schools will recognise children's education abroad.
When will the programme start?
The competition will start after the official approval of all regulatory documents by the Cabinet of Ministers. After that, Ukrainian universities will be able to actively establish new partnerships and implement joint projects with leading world universities.
