The law stipulates that a certificate of no criminal record can be obtained by any person, both Ukrainian and foreign, residing in Ukraine.

When is a certificate of no criminal record required?

Among the cases when a foreigner may need a certificate of no criminal record are:

– obtaining Ukrainian citizenship;

– obtaining a temporary or permanent residence permit in Ukraine;

Who issues a certificate of no criminal record?

A certificate of no criminal record in Ukraine is issued by the authorized bodies of the Ministry of Internal Affairs. To obtain a certificate of no criminal record, a person can contact the territorial service center of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
