Spring in Europe is a time when the continent comes alive, offering travellers a host of exciting events. From flower festivals to music events and other interesting celebrations. We have put together a selection of the most interesting spring events in 2025.

Flower festival in Keukenhof (Netherlands)

When: from 20 March to 11 May

Where: Leesburg, the Netherlands

The annual festival in Keukenhof turns vast flower fields into a sea of tulips, creating incredible landscapes and aromas.

Sakura Festival in Bonn (Germany)

Primavera Sound (Spain)

Walpurgis Night (Europe)

Where: Germany, Finland, Sweden, Czech Republic, Slovenia, Latvia, etc.

Walpurgis Night in Europe is a traditional spring holiday dedicated to fertility. It is celebrated on 1 May and the night before. The name of this holiday is associated with Walpurgis, a nun from the Wimburn Monastery who came to Germany to found a monastery. She was very popular, and she was venerated as a saint.

Prague beer festival (Czech Republic)

Eurovision Song Contest 2025 (Switzerland)

Where: Basel, Switzerland

The popular European song contest will be held in Basel this year. In May, the city will turn into a centre of musical talents, and the musicians themselves will become street musicians who sometimes sing right on the street. Music will be heard from every window, bar or cafe. By the way, Ukraine will also be represented at Eurovision 2025.

Festa della Sensa in Venice

When: 29 May

Where: Venice, Italy

Festa della Sensa symbolises the romance between Serenissma (Venice) and the sea. It is a festival of boats and the tradition of Venetian rowing. Festa della Sensa begins after the Holy Mass in the Church of St Nicolo.
