The government has settled the issue of issuing passports to citizens abroad. From now on, men aged 18-60 who have previously applied for a passport can receive their documents. This was reported by the State Migration Service.

Who can get a passport?

The issuance of passports applies to male citizens of Ukraine aged 18-60 who have submitted documents for issuance by April 25, 2024 to the State Enterprise “Document”. These persons will be able to receive their passports as early as next week.

How will passports be issued?

Citizens who have submitted their documents on time will receive a notification. It will specify the date, time and place of arrival to receive the document. Issuance will be carried out in the order of priority of applications.

Requirements for obtaining a passport

Currently, male citizens of Ukraine aged 18-60 who are abroad can obtain a passport provided they have military registration documents. However, no additional documents will be required for those who applied before April 25, 2024.

The State Migration Service automatically transfers information about such persons to the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine. This means that they are registered for military service without the need to undergo a military medical examination.
