Rules for exchanging driver's licenses
Please note that this document can only be exchanged if the license has expired, if the driver has changed their first or last name, or if the document has been lost or damaged.
Drivers can replace their license with another one that is valid for 30 years. This also applies to drivers who want to exchange their first driver's license after its expiration. Such an exchange takes place without taking exams, but provided that within two years you have not committed more than two minor traffic violations and have not been involved in accidents with victims.
What documents are required to replace a driver's license?
It is important to note that when submitting documents for registration, you must provide your previous driver's license. Therefore, it is not possible to obtain a license if it is lost abroad.
List of documents:
- Ukrainian passport or foreign passport;
- Taxpayer identification number (TIN);
- Medical certificate of fitness to drive
- Existing driver's license and its notarized translation
- Document confirming the fact of issuance of the license abroad and the absence of restrictions on the right to drive vehicles, with a notarized translation
