In June, Ukrainians broke the record for the amount of donations to the Ukrainian army. This was reported by the open data platform Opendatabot.

An absolute record for donations to support the army in June 2023: what is known

In particular, in the first six months of 2023, the accounts of the three largest charitable foundations in Ukraine received UAH 8.4 billion, which is 22% more than in the same period last year. 

It is noted that the proceeds to such charities were distributed as follows:

• The United24 platform received UAH 5.54 billion, which is 66% of the total donations.

• The Come Back Alive Foundation received UAH 1.81 billion, which is 22% of all donations received.

• The Serhiy Prytula Foundation raised about UAH 1 billion, which is approximately 12%.

Most of the funds transferred to United24 accounts, namely 89% (UAH 4.93 billion), were directed to the needs of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. The remaining 11% were raised for medical aid and the restoration of Ukraine, which amounts to UAH 0.45 billion and UAH 0.16 billion, respectively.

It is noted that in June 2023, United24 received the highest amount of UAH 2.4 billion for defense, which was an absolute record in the history of the fund, according to the Opendatabot platform. This is almost half of all donations received for defense during the first half of this year.

The previous maximum of UAH 2.24 billion was raised by the same platform in July 2022.

It is worth noting that the results of fundraising in support of the Armed Forces in June increased 4.8 times compared to the period January-May 2023, when the average monthly amount of donations to United24 was UAH 0.5 billion.

Also, in June, a 17% increase in contributions to the Come Back Alive fund was registered, where Ukrainians contributed UAH 0.34 billion, compared to the average monthly contributions of UAH 0.29 billion in the previous months.

As for the Serhiy Prytula Foundation, the increase was an incredible 37%. In June 2023, Ukrainians donated UAH 0.22 billion, up from the average monthly donation of UAH 0.16 billion in the previous five months.

The contributions of each of us demonstrate incredible patriotism and readiness to defend our country. Let us remember that every donation is important, because together they form a strong support and help to maintain peace and security in Ukraine.
