Who needs insurance to enter Croatia?

Croatia is a member of the European Union and the Schengen Agreement. This implies certain peculiarities of insurance for different categories of non-residents. However, at the initial stage of temporary protection, the necessary medical care is usually provided free of charge or under a simplified procedure.

General requirements for insurance policies for short and long term trips

Requirements for an insurance policy, according to Croatian legislation

1. The policy must be issued by an accredited company.

2. Coverage of at least €30,000.

3. Coverage area - EU and countries that are signatories to the Schengen Agreement.

4. Deductible - no more than €150.

Mandatory insurance requirements for the Schengen countries

1. The amount of coverage is significantly higher than €30,000, with a guarantee that any recovery and repatriation costs and COVID-19 treatment costs will be covered.

2. The insurance covers a wide range of risks (visits to doctors, hospital treatment, medicines, etc.).

3. The territory of coverage is all Schengen countries.

What kind of insurance can I get in Croatia?
