Last week, 15 beaches in the capital, namely Zolotyi, Predmostnaya Slobodka, Chortoryi, Natalka, Tsentralnyi, Molodizhnyi, Detskyi, Venetsia, Veselka, Galernyi, Telbin, Raiduha, Troyeschyna, Verbnyi, Pushcha-Vodytsia, were tested for compliance with sanitary and hygienic requirements. Unfortunately, none of the beaches were found suitable for swimming due to low water quality.

Reasons for the ban on swimming on Kyiv beaches

According to Pleso, according to the results of sanitary-microbiological and sanitary-chemical studies, water samples at the listed beaches do not meet sanitary and hygienic requirements. Therefore, bathing on all these beaches was forced to be banned. The index of lacto-positive E. coli in the samples demonstrated the general bacteriological contamination of the water bodies.

Experts emphasize that E. coli reproduction is most active in extreme heat and after precipitation. If E. coli enters the human body, it can cause intestinal infections, inflammation of the urinary tract, genitals, and other diseases.

1. Dryness in the mouth;

2. Elevated body temperature;

3. Diarrhea;

4. Nausea;

5. Cramping pain in the abdomen;

6. Little or no urination.
