Due to the sharp deterioration of the security situation in the Middle East, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine has officially recommended that citizens refrain from traveling to six countries where the situation is particularly dangerous. Here is what you should not travel to right now and what to do if you are already in dangerous regions.
The Ukrainian Ministry of Foreign Affairs warns: countries where travel is not recommended at this time
This warning applies to the following countries:
● Israel
● Iran
● Jordan
● Iraq
● Lebanon
● Syria
The situation in the Middle East remains unstable. Israel has launched strikes on Iranian territory, leading to significant tensions in the region. In response, four countries have completely closed their airspace, and a number of international airlines have canceled or changed their flight routes.
This creates significant difficulties for travelers, including Ukrainian citizens, who may find themselves at risk or unable to return home in the event of an emergency.
What to do if you are already in Israel or another country: instructions and advice
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs emphasizes that if you are already in these countries, it is important to remain vigilant, carry your documents with you, follow local service announcements, and strictly comply with safety requirements. It is also important to follow the news from Ukrainian embassies and diplomatic missions.
At the same time, the Embassy of Ukraine in Israel urges citizens to be extremely cautious. The situation can change very quickly, so it is important to constantly monitor official sources of information.
In the event of an air raid or missile strike, you should immediately proceed to a shelter. This could be:
● a special bomb shelter;
● a protected room (mamad);
● a stairwell;
● an internal corridor without windows.
If you are outside, find the nearest shelter or lie down on the ground and protect your head with your hands. If you are in a car, stop, get out, and look for shelter. If this is not possible, stay in the vehicle, lie down on the floor, and cover your head.
In any case, remain in shelter for at least 10 minutes after the alarm has ended. Do not approach rocket debris or suspicious objects — report them to law enforcement.
