Qatar Airways has once again become the best airline in the world, the Airline Ratings resource has published the 2022 rating.

Qatar Airways has been recognized for its leadership in innovation and commitment to maintaining critical air routes during the COVID-19 pandemic over the past 30 months. This resulted in record profits for the airline despite losses due to many canceled flights. Qatar Airways also won Best Business Class and Best Airline in the Middle East.

Air New Zealand was second in the ranking. It also received the title of the best airline in the Pacific region.

The best in long-haul travel were: jetBlue (Americas), Turkish Airlines (Europe), Qatar Airways (Middle East/Africa), Korean Air (Asia), and Air New Zealand (Pacific).

Best budget airlines: Southwest (Americas), easyjet (Europe), Jetstar (Asia/Pacific) and Fly Dubai (Middle East).

New award categories have also appeared this year. Etihad Airways became the most environmentally friendly airline, Korean Air - the best cargo airline, Vietjet received the award for the best prices.
