Summer in the capital began brightly and inspiringly — on 1 June, the seasonal festival ‘Kvitolito’ started at the VDNH, symbolising the blossoming of nature, emotions and the spirit of Kyiv. Until the end of summer, guests will enjoy photo zones, installations, events and locations where every detail embodies life and beauty.

What will be on display?

Original flower installations and relaxation areas have appeared throughout the VDNG exhibition centre. An art sign ‘Rozkvitai’ (Blossom) has been installed near Urban Park, flower sheep are located near Animal Park, and you can take a photo on swings surrounded by greenery near the ‘Swing Park.’ The main symbol of the festival is a two-metre bouquet, which will be installed between the eighth and tenth pavilions. It will become the central art object and an ideal location for photos.

According to Yevhen Mushkin, director of development at VDNG, the festival is inspired by the spring project ‘Book Country,’ and ‘the natural scenery organically complements the emotional content of the space.’

From 13 to 22 June, VDNH will host the Active Country festival in partnership with the presidential programme Active Parks. Over 10 days, the Urban Park will host:

▪️ An inclusive children's area and adaptive activities for veterans
