Ukrainians who applied for a passport at one of the Passport Service offices abroad before April 24, 2024, have limited time to collect their documents. According to official information from the State Enterprise “Document,” all passports that are not issued will be transferred to Ukraine for storage. In this case, it will be impossible to obtain the document outside the country.

This decision applies to both Ukrainian passports and foreign passports issued by foreign branches of the State Enterprise “Document.”

By when do I need to pick up my passport abroad?

As reported by the State Enterprise “Document” on May 9, documents that were issued in foreign departments before April 24, 2024 (inclusive) can be obtained until June 1, 2025.

After this date, all unissued passports will be returned to the Main Department of the State Migration Service of Ukraine in Zakarpattia Oblast, and they can only be collected on the territory of Ukraine.

How to get a ready passport abroad?

You can get a ready passport at foreign branches of the State Enterprise “Document” on a first-come, first-served basis. This means that no prior appointment or electronic queue is required.

However, before visiting, it is recommended to check the current schedule of a specific department on the official website: pasport.org.ua → section “Centers.” You can find out in which countries you can obtain a Ukrainian passport abroad by following the link.
