Travel enthusiasts will have new opportunities: in the summer of 2025, a new airline, Air 001, created by the well-known travel operator Itaka, will appear in the Polish sky. This step will allow the company to strengthen its brand and expand its travel offer on the market.

Own airline is a new level for Itaka

Itaka has long been associated with organized all-inclusive tours, and now it is moving to a new level by creating its own airline. The project is being implemented in cooperation with Bulgarian airline Electra Airways, which will provide aircraft and full technical support.

Two Airbus A320 aircraft have already been leased, and in the summer season of 2025, four aircraft will operate under the Air 001 brand - three A320s and one A321. This will not only optimize logistics, but also allow Itaka to create schedules, manage prices, and routes without intermediaries.

Destinations of interest to Ukrainians

Air 001 flights will be available from four Polish airports: Katowice, Warsaw, Wroclaw, and Poznan. The program includes destinations popular with Ukrainian tourists:

Turkey

Egypt

Greece

Albania

Canary Islands

Cape Verde

These resorts are traditionally in demand among travelers, and the launch of the new airline will allow them to avoid overpayments, reduce transfer times and receive more predictable service.

The launch of Air 001 is not only a technical innovation, but also a strategic decision. According to Itaka Holdings Vice President Petr Henic, the company gains more control over the charter program and is freed from the need to negotiate prices and schedules with other carriers.

“Thanks to the model of cooperation with Electra Airways, all the problems and risks associated with having our own domestic airline have been eliminated,” he emphasized.
