The Polish labor market demonstrates changes in the dynamics of employment of Ukrainians. According to the latest survey by the Polish Labor Market Barometer, the number of employers hiring Ukrainian citizens has significantly decreased. In 2025, only 28% of companies confirmed that they had Ukrainian employees, while in 2024 this figure was 43%, a 15% drop.

The survey was conducted on the nationwide Ariadna panel using the CAWI method from January 20 to 28, 2025, with the participation of 329 companies of various sizes - from small to large enterprises.

Where do Ukrainians work in Poland?

Ukrainian employees are mostly concentrated in

large companies - 46%

medium-sized companies - 32%

small companies - only 6%.

This shows that large companies remain the key employers for our compatriots.

ZUS statistics: fewer Ukrainians among foreign workers

Before the full-scale invasion, Ukraine formed 74% of the foreign labor force in Poland. As of the end of November 2024, this figure dropped to 66%. At the same time, the number of foreign workers in Poland increased by 64.5 thousand people, of whom 13.4 thousand were Ukrainians and 21.3 thousand were Belarusians.

Positions and salaries

Most Ukrainians in Poland hold low-skilled positions. At the same time, there has been a noticeable increase in the number of those working in:

middle positions - an increase of 18%, now 40% of them

high positions - 9% of employees

As for salaries:

41% of Ukrainians receive from 30.5 to 34.9 gross per hour

20% - from 35 to 39.9 zlotys

Only 7% of companies pay more than 40 PLN per hour

The survey also showed that 21% of employers are ready to hire workers from outside Ukraine. Workers from Belarus, India, Nepal, the Philippines, and Bangladesh are becoming increasingly popular.
