The Latvian Citizenship and Migration Board (PMLP) has announced the extension of the acceptance of documents for the extension of residence permits for Ukrainians, which expired on March 4, 2025. This decision was made because only a small part of the 15,000 Ukrainians residing in Latvia have submitted the necessary documents for the extension of their residence permits.

How can Ukrainians apply for a residence permit extension in Latvia?

The PMLP urges Ukrainians to check the validity of their residence permits or visas as soon as possible and prepare the necessary documents for their extension. The documents can be submitted in the following ways:

1. Electronically: by signing the documents with a secure electronic signature and sending them to pasts@pmlp.gov.lv.

2. Bypost: by sending the documents to the address of the relevant territorial PMLP office.

3. In person: at the one-stop customer service centers of state and local authorities.

Please note! Ukrainians are urged not to delay the submission of documents in order not to lose the right to employment and social services in Latvia.
