Laut dem Staatlichen Grenzschutzdienst hat sich die Anzahl der vorweihnachtlichen Grenzübertritte bis zum 22. Dezember dieses Jahres auf 150.000 erhöht und damit den Rekord gebrochen. The State Border Guard Service of Ukraine informs that the number of border crossings has increased significantly before the winter holidays and is breaking all records. For example, more than 4,000 people crossed the border with Poland in one day. The longest queues, of course, are at the border with Poland, followed by Slovakia. The SBGS informs about all changes on its Telegram channel. We have gathered basic information about the state of queues at the border and how to avoid them in this article.

What border records did Ukrainians break in 2024?

1. On 21-22 December 2024, more than 4,000 people, almost 1,000 cars and 27 buses crossed the new Nyzhankovychi-Malkhovychi checkpoint (with the Republic of Poland).

2. Over 150 thousand people crossed the state border on 21-22 December.

3. In the Lviv region, passenger traffic at checkpoints increased by 25%.

4. As of 23 December, there was congestion at the Korchova and Medyka checkpoints (with Poland).

To recap. By 2030, it is planned to build six new checkpoints on the border.

Which checkpoints have the longest queues at the moment?

The largest number of border crossings over the past week was recorded with the Republic of Poland. Statistics are provided with reference to the official Telegram channel of the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine as of 18:30 on 23.12.2024.

The Republic of Poland

There are no queues at the checkpoints: Uhryniv, Rava-Ruska, Smilnytsia, Nyzhankovychi.

eQueue: Yahodyn, Ustyluh.

There is a queue:

- Hrushev - 2 buses;

- Krakivets - 6 buses;

- Shehyni - 9 buses.

Slovak Republic

There are no queues at the border crossing points: Mali Selmentsi.

eQueue: Uzhhorod.

There is a queue:

- Uzhhorod - 35 cars;

- Maly Berezny - 30 cars.

Hungary

There are no queues at the following checkpoints: Dzvinkove, Kosyno, Luzhanka, Vylok.

Romania

There are no queues at the border crossing points with Romania.
