Ukraine has launched an electronic pension certificate that citizens can create in the Diia app. We will tell you how to do this below.

What is an electronic pension certificate?

An e-pension certificate is an electronic document that confirms the fact of granting a pension and does not require additional presentation of a paper pension certificate. At the request of a person who has been granted a pension, he or she can receive a pension certificate exclusively in electronic form without producing a paper one.

Thus, the electronic document can fully replace the paper version.

How to create an electronic pension certificate?

You can create such an e-document through the Pension Fund's web portal of electronic services or by contacting the nearest service centre of the Fund.

An e-pension certificate can be obtained much faster than a paper version, usually within a few days from the date of application.

To create and use an e-pension certificate, a person needs to know his or her taxpayer registration number, install the Diia mobile application and undergo electronic identification and authentication.

How many pension certificates are there?

Today, there are already three versions of pension certificates in Ukraine:

- a traditional paper pension certificate, which can be obtained by filling out a questionnaire at a Pension Fund service centre or by sending an application for the document through the Pension Fund's electronic services web portal or the Pension Fund mobile application;

- an electronic pension certificate in the form of a payment card issued by JSC Oschadbank;

- e-pension certificate.
