The main residence of Santa Claus is located in the town of Rovaniemi in Finland. The distance from Lapland to different cities of Ukraine varies from 1700 to 2481 km. We are going to tell you which Ukrainian regions will be able to receive gifts from Santa the fastest.

In our previous article, we told you that Ukrzaliznytsia has scheduled another flight for the New Year holidays, which will start running on December 18.

Where is Santa's residence located?

Santa's main residence is located above the Arctic Circle in magical Lapland, in the Finnish city of Rovaniemi. It is a fabulous place with picturesque landscapes, snow-covered forests, and a Christmas atmosphere that reigns here all year round. The town has long been a symbol of the New Year's miracle and a favorite destination for tourists from all over the world.

Here, everyone can meet Santa, talk to him and take a photo together. Rovaniemi also has a real fairy-tale post office, which receives millions of letters from children from all over the world. Visitors have the opportunity to write a letter and send it with a special Arctic Circle stamp. The Elves' Workshop employs Santa's helpers who make toys and prepare gifts for children.

One of the main attractions is crossing the Arctic Circle, which is marked with a special certificate for tourists. In winter, the residence is filled with Christmas markets, reindeer and dog sledding, and exciting winter games.

What is the distance from the Santa Claus Residence to different cities of Ukraine?

According to the geographical location, the northern regions of our country will be able to receive gifts a little faster. And the southern regions will have to wait longer to meet Santa.

The editorial team of Channel 24 calculated the distance from Santa's residence to different cities of Ukraine:

- Rivne - 1769 kilometers;

- Kyiv - 1809 kilometers;

- Sumy - 1811 kilometers;

- Zhytomyr - 1817 kilometers;

- Lviv - 1859 kilometers;

- Ternopil - 1888 kilometers;

- Khmelnytsky - 1904 kilometers;

- Vinnytsia - 1930 kilometers;

- Kharkiv - 1933 kilometers;

- Cherkasy - 1934 kilometers;

- Poltava - 1950 kilometers;

- Ivano-Frankivsk - 1959 kilometers;

- Uzhhorod - 2001 kilometers;

- Chernivtsi - 2028 kilometers;

- Kropyvnytskyi - 2039 kilometers;

- Dnipro - 2080 kilometers;

- Luhansk - 2145 kilometers;

- Zaporizhzhia - 2149 kilometers;

- Donetsk - 2175 kilometers;

- Mykolaiv - 2205 kilometers;

- Odesa - 2249 kilometers;

Of course, these distances are calculated in a straight line and do not take into account highways or ferry crossings. But Santa is not afraid of mountains, rivers or any other obstacles. We are sure that Santa will be able to deliver gifts to everyone who is sincerely waiting for him. The most important thing is to prepare for his arrival: decorate the Christmas tree, leave cookies and milk by the fireplace or window and, of course, be ready for a real New Year's miracle!
