According to the ambassador, the integration of Ukrainians into Austrian society is quite successful due to the high motivation of Ukrainians. People are eager to learn German and integrate into the local labor market. "Integrating and accepting Ukrainian refugees is not a problem, because Ukrainians are very eager to learn the language. They are happy to integrate into the market. If there is a new wave, the Austrians have a big heart and will welcome Ukrainians,” Benkö noted.

Conditions of stay of Ukrainian refugees in Austria

Ukrainians who arrived in Austria because of the war are granted temporary protection under the EU Temporary Protection Directive. The main conditions of stay include:
