However, after submitting the documents, the question often arises: how to check the status of your residence permit? This article will help you quickly and easily track the status of your application using the official service of the State Migration Service of Ukraine.

How to check the status of a residence permit?

You can check the status of your residence permit online through the website of the State Migration Service of Ukraine. To do this, you need to follow a few simple steps:

1. Visit the website of the State Migration Service of Ukraine.

2. In the search bar, select the type of document whose production status you want to check.

3. Choose for whom the document is issued: for you or another person.

4. Enter the series and number of the document on the basis of which the residence permit is issued.

5. The search result will be displayed after entering the data, confirming the captcha and clicking the “Search” button. The page will automatically reload.

What are the statuses and what do they mean?

When checking the status, you can see the following options:

– No information found: the documents may not have been entered into the database yet, or you made a mistake while searching.

– Documents accepted on /date/: your application is being processed and data verification is underway.

– Permission for passport personalization granted on /date/: the application and documents have been approved for further submission to the production center.
– Data sent to the personalization center on /date/: your data has been submitted for production.

– The document is personalized and sent to the Migration Service unit on /date/: the document is ready and is on its way to the institution.
– The document has been delivered to the BAMF office on /date/ and can be collected by the applicant: you can receive your residence permit. Please note that if you applied for a residence permit through the ASC or the Passport Service, the Migration Service unit will only be an intermediate stage and you will need to wait until the status of the application changes to “The document has been delivered to the ASC / Passport Service center / date / and is ready for issuance”.

– An error was detected in the data set during the personalization of the document by the State Enterprise “Printing Plant ‘Ukraine’ /date/: you need to personally apply at the place of submission of the application form (this status is possible if technical errors were detected during the personalization of the document (poor quality photo, digitalization of fingerprints, etc.)

– Rejected /date/: unfortunately, your application has been rejected, we recommend that you contact the place of submission of documents for detailed explanations.

Please note! The status can be checked only the day after submitting the application to the territorial unit of the SMS.

What should I do if the status of my residence permit is not displayed or is incorrect?

If, after submitting the application, the information is not displayed in the system (“Information not found” status) for more than 48 hours, it is recommended to contact the relevant unit of the SMS.

If the status of the documents is incorrect, the applicant should send an e-mail to the relevant territorial office of the SMS indicating his/her contact details:

– surname, name, patronymic of the applicant;

– series and number of the document on the basis of which the residence permit was issued;

– region, city, district of submission of documents;

– date of submission of the application for documents;

– contact phone number.
