The procedure for choosing and booking an individual number plate for a car, as well as how much it costs, is described in the article below.

Customised number plates in Ukraine

You can choose an individual number plate for your vehicle online on the website of the Main Service Centre of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine.

It is quite easy to use the resource: the number plates are sorted by category. You can also enable a filter that shows the cheapest number plates first or vice versa.

The price is also indicated next to each number.

After choosing a room, you need to contact any service centre of the Ministry of Internal Affairs or book rooms online.

The cost of booking a number plate is UAH 120.

How do I order an individual number plate?

To book a number plate, you need to log in to the Driver's Area and follow the following instructions:

● select the "Booking number plates" option;

● select the region and the nearest service centre of the Ministry of Internal Affairs;

● specify the type of vehicle;

● specify the selected combination of digits for the number plate;

● make a payment.

Important! To successfully complete the procedure for purchasing individual number plates, you must contact the MIA service centre to re-register your car no later than 10 days after booking. Failure to do so will result in the cancellation of the booking.

Individual number plates: price

The price of individual number plates for cars in Ukraine ranges from 4,800 to 96,000 UAH.

Three identical digits in the number plate will cost UAH 4,800, two identical digits next to each other - from UAH 18,000, and a combination of four identical digits - UAH 96,000.

Remember! A motor third party liability insurance policy is mandatory for every vehicle with Ukrainian registration.

A valid motor third-party liability insurance policy (MTPL) is a guarantee of compensation for damages in the event of an accident. On Visit Ukraine, you can buy a CTP insurance policy from a licensed insurer. Packages with a deductible of UAH 3200, UAH 1600 and UAH 0 are available.
