Additional restrictions have been introduced in the border area in Transcarpathia, the Western Regional Directorate of the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine (SBGS) has reported. It is noted that these measures will be in effect until the end of the legal regime of martial law in Ukraine.

"The introduction of such restrictions is due to strengthening the protection of the state border and control over compliance with the border regime, as well as to prevent offenses at the border," the statement said.

New restrictions in the border area for cars: in which areas?

The restrictions cover the border areas of the Stavnenska, Kostrynska, Velykyi Bereznyi, Dubrynytska-Malobereznyi, Onokivska, Kholmkivska, Siurtyvska and Chopska territorial communities of Uzhhorod district.

List of restrictions imposed

❗️ Prohibition of staying and working outside the settlements.

❗️ Prohibition of persons and vehicles on roads that are not included in the register of roads leading to the state border, as well as traffic on such roads in the dark (from 22:00 to 05:00). It is noted that the restrictions do not apply to roads that provide transportation between settlements or to checkpoints across the state border.

❗️ Prohibition of stopping vehicles on the roadside (outside of established parking lots), except in cases of technical malfunctions.

❗️ Prohibition of transportation of weapons and means of active defense in vehicles without appropriate permits.

❗️ Prohibition of the use of night vision devices, thermal imaging equipment and radio stations, except for those installed on special equipment and vehicles for specialized purposes.

❗️ Prohibition of the use and flight of light aircraft.

Who is not subject to the restrictions?

The relevant restrictions do not apply to civil servants, law enforcement officers, military personnel, other employees of public utilities or critical infrastructure facilities who perform their official duties within the specified territories.

Remember that to leave Ukraine in a car with Ukrainian registration, you must have a Green Card insurance policy. It is mandatory in 48 countries, including the EU. Without such insurance, the car will not be allowed to cross the border! In addition, the absence or delay of insurance is fraught not only with fines that are several dozen times the cost of the insurance policy for a year, but also with the seizure of the car and deportation from the country with a subsequent ban on entry.
