The Ukrainian national football team has begun active preparations for the European Championship. On the way to the official matches of Euro 2024, the Ukrainian team will play three games. Serhii Rebrov's team played their first match against Germany, drawing to a zero-zero draw. Now the Blue and Yellows will meet their neighbours, the Polish national team. Here's what time the match will take place and what to expect from it.

Where to watch Poland vs Ukraine?

The second sparring match of the Ukrainian national team will take place in Warsaw on Friday, 7 June. The starting whistle is scheduled for 21:45 Kyiv time. 

You can watch the match on T2 digital broadcasting. It will be shown live on regional Suspilne TV channels. At the same time, MEGOGO will be the exclusive broadcaster of the match.

Before and after the match, local Suspilne TV channels will have an analytical studio. The live broadcast will start at 20:40. The pre-match studio on MEGOGO will start at 20:30.

The first friendly match before the Euro

As you know, the first sparring match of the national team of Ukraine took place on 3 June. In Nuremberg, the team visited the Germans, who came out as favourites. However, that match ended with a score of 0-0. 

It is worth noting that the Ukrainian coaching staff approached the game with a surprise, releasing the squad for a fully defensive game with a transition to strengthening the flanks during counterattacks. By the way, this scheme is very familiar to Ukrainian defender Oleksandr Zinchenko of Arsenal London, who is also used as a false full-back in the team.

Poland - Ukraine: what to expect on the pitch?

Serhiy Rebrov and his coaching staff are likely to rotate the line-up to give players who sat on the bench for most of the match against Germany a chance to play. Changes are also expected at the goalkeeper position, where Benfica's Anatolii Trubin played in the last game.

As for the predictions, we shouldn't expect a clear outsider or favourite in this game. Both Poland and Ukraine are quite strong teams that like to fight in the middle of the field and run out on the counterattack. 

Bookmakers also make equal predictions. Both teams have odds of around 2.8.

The Ukrainians and Poles have already met many times in face-to-face meetings. These teams have three wins and two draws.
