One of the leading German airlines, Lufthansa, has announced a temporary suspension of some popular flights. This decision concerns several key destinations in Europe and the Middle East. This was reported by Reuters.

Here's how long the flights will be out of service and the reasons for the suspension.

Lufthansa temporarily canceled a number of popular flights: details

The airline announced that it is suspending flights to Israel, Jordan, Iraq, and Iran. These restrictions will be in effect at least until Thursday, April 18.

The group, which includes the German flag carrier as well as airlines from Switzerland and Austria, said it is constantly assessing the security situation in the Middle East and maintains close communication with the government. In this regard, Lufthansa announced the suspension of flights.

Thus, at least until Thursday, the carrier will not operate flights to Amman (Jordan), Erbil (Iraq) and Tel Aviv (Israel), and until Thursday - to Beirut (Lebanon) and Tehran (Iran).

In addition, the airline will not use Iranian airspace for other flights.

It is known that many companies have canceled and rescheduled flights due to the conflict in the region.

A few days ago, passengers of El Al, Arkia, Wizz Air, and Iberia already faced delays. Etihad Airways, Air India, and United Airlines also had to cancel some of their flights.
