"Ukrzaliznytsia will soon launch online ticket sales for trains from Ukraine to Austria and Hungary. However, this mechanism will be implemented in stages. We will tell you when passengers will be able to use the service.

Train from Ukraine to Austria (Kyiv - Vienna)

The launch of online ticket sales is scheduled for 18 March. At the first stage, online tickets will be available for the route Ukraine - Austria and back.

First of all, the launch of online ticketing will make life easier for passengers, as they will no longer have to go to the ticket office to buy tickets for this flight.

However, shortly after the launch of this service, we plan to introduce online ticketing for another flight.

Tickets for this flight will be available via the Ukrzaliznytsia app, but please note that for the direct Kyiv-Vienna train, you will need to verify your account via Diia.Signature. 

Train Ukraine - Hungary (Kyiv - Budapest)

The exact timing of online ticket sales for this route is not yet available, but it is known that the launch of this service will take place at the second stage.

This train will go to Austria, but will transit through Hungary, i.e. Kyiv - Budapest - Vienna and Chop - Budapest - Vienna.

Direct connections between Ukraine and Hungary (Mukachevo - Debrecen, Mukachevo - Budapest, Chop - Záhony) will be added to the app later.

Please note that in preparation for online ticket sales, UZ will temporarily suspend ticket sales through the ticket office for the direct train Kyiv - Vienna - Kyiv for departure dates starting from 18 March. The restriction will last until the opening of online sales. That is, on 18 March, ticket sales will resume to the full extent of sales (20 days) online. The temporary restriction will not affect the train Chop - Vienna - Chop.
