In January 2024, Ukrposhta announced a vote for the best postage stamp of 2023. During this year, the service presented 18 issues, and the winners were chosen in two categories: "The Best Postage Stamp of Ukraine 2023" and "The Best Postal Block of Ukraine 2023".

Best postage stamp of Ukraine 2023 

On Wednesday, January 24, the voting results were announced. The title of "Best Postage Stamp of Ukraine 2023" was given to the stamp titled "Eternal Memory!", which was issued on August 29, the Day of Remembrance of the Fallen Defenders of Ukraine.

The stamp's design was created by the recognized Ukrainian artist Oleh Shuplyak and embodied the painting "Sorrow".

This postage stamp has a charitable component, as Ukrposhta allocates part of the funds to support the families of servicemen who gave their lives defending Ukraine.

In addition, Ukrainian Carols at the Kyiv Cave Monastery won the Best Postal Unit of Ukraine 2023 nomination. This was the final issue of 2023 and was presented on Christmas Eve, December 22. 

The stamp was dedicated to the anniversary of the Orthodox Church of Ukraine's Christmas service in the Assumption Cathedral of the Kyiv Cave Monastery, which celebrated its 950th anniversary last year.
