Almost two years have passed since russia unleashed one of the worst wars in european history. In the early days of the russian invasion, the occupiers tried with all their might to capture Kiev, but faced an obstacle in the form of satellite towns, where Ukrainian fighters fought back against the enemy's onslaught. One of the most terrible events of the war was the occupation of Bucha, where the russian army tortured and killed civilians.
This terrible period of time will forever remain in the memory of the residents of the city and all of Ukraine. But today we will tell you about how Bucha lives now.
Bucha today
The Ukrainian city, which adorns the northern part of the suburbs of Kiev, has returned to peaceful life. Now more than 90% of the pre-war population, which was about 38 thousand people, live there. In addition, Bucha has received about 8 thousand refugees from the eastern regions of Ukraine.
Bucha has already been cleared of ruins, but the city is still continuing to recover.
As is known, during the occupation, russian occupiers killed more than 1.3 thousand people in this small town. Also, many houses were destroyed there, and the streets were strewn with rf military equipment.
All this Ukrainians keep in memory to this day, as such cities as Bucha, Irpin, Gostomel and Vorzel became an example of indestructibility, despite the most terrible abuse by the enemy.
Rebuilding Bucha
The city authorities stated that they wanted to see the future Bucha not as a place of tragedy, but as a place of Ukrainian success. At the same time, they noted that Bucha is now a kind of war crimes museum.
Despite the enormous scale of the city's destruction, Bucha is slowly regaining its former appearance - a green town with beautiful infrastructure and kind people.
Bucha is being rebuilt not only with the state's money, but also with donor contributions from Ukraine's allies. For example, a modern school should be built in the city by 2025 with the money allocated by the Lithuanian government.
They also want to build an industrial park Bucha Techno Garden in Bucha. The Korean state-owned company K-water will help with this.

Bucha is a place of strength
The tragedy in Bucha will forever remain in the memory of Ukrainians and the whole world, which watched with horror the consequences of the russian occupation. However, at the moment, this city is safe for residents and tourists.
The city gladly welcomes visitors who want to feel the real strength of the Ukrainian spirit and learn about the history of the occupation of the russian army.
