From now on, Passport Service in Prague has started working in a stationary office, completely ceasing the operation of mobile points in minibuses. This was reported by the State Enterprise "Document".

Passport Service office opened in Prague

The new stationary office, located at Michelská 1552/58, Praha 4, opened its doors on November 20, 2023. The premises became the main point for issuing passport documents.

Mobile offices of the Passport Service have been operating in Prague since March 2023, but their work has been suspended since the beginning of autumn. Now all official services for obtaining internal passports, passports for traveling abroad, and renewal of driving licenses are available at the new stationary office.

The old address of the office at 656/8 Republic Square, 110 00 Staré Město, is no longer available and the issuance of ready-made documents will be carried out at the new center. 

The new office will be open from Monday to Saturday from 09:00 to 18:00, with Sunday as a day off.

Lost driving license recovery service is now available in the Czech Republic

It is also important to note that Ukrainians can now restore lost driving licenses in the Czech Republic at the Passport Service. 

At the new address Michelská 1552/58, Praha 4, in addition to issuing passports, you can also get advice on the restoration or exchange of driving licenses. 

The following documents are required to renew a driver's license:

- A passport of a citizen of Ukraine with a mandatory place of registration;

- Certificate (original or copy) of assignment of the registration number of the taxpayer's account card (in the absence of this number on the ID card, stamp in the passport or in the databases of the Ministry of Internal Affairs. This document confirms your taxpayer status);

- A document confirming the change of surname, name (in case of change of personal data).

Please note! Pre-registration through the electronic queue for any service is mandatory. You can make an appointment independently by following the link: prague.pasport.org.ua/solutions/e-queue.

Travel safely

When planning a trip abroad or already being there by your own car, it is important not only to prepare the necessary documents and check the technical condition of the car, but also to take care of insurance, because the Ukrainian policy of OSAGO is not valid abroad. 

To protect yourself from unforeseen expenses before traveling, a car owner should take care of a Green Card policy in advance.
