Unfortunately, the full-scale russian invasion has radically changed the way Ukrainians live and work, and even the most anticipated winter holidays, when people around the world rejoice and wait for a miracle, have a bitter taste of regret for Ukraine. Not only adults, but also young Ukrainians have forgotten about their normal lives. And explaining all the cause-and-effect relationships to a child is becoming increasingly difficult.

Celebrating the New Year in Ukraine: where to go for the holidays?

Traditionally, Ukrainians have always spent their summer vacations in the southern regions of Ukraine, and their winter holidays in the western regions. However, the full-scale war has made its own adjustments, and now western Ukraine has become the most touristy region at any time of the year. 

This is primarily due to the security situation, as, for example, the Zakarpattia region has suffered only one missile attack during the russian invasion, which means that the west is currently the safest region of Ukraine. Therefore, when planning a vacation for the winter holidays, especially with children, it is better to choose this direction.

Fortunately, there are many attractions and places in western Ukraine that are suitable for both a relaxing family vacation and an active short trip with friends.

So where do we recommend celebrating the New Year this year?

Hutsul New Year

This is a 3-day program, during which tourists will be able to visit the best places of the Hutsul region: incredible Yaremche, fabulous Bukovel, Yavoriv, Kolomyia, vats in Verkhovyna, as well as see the winter mountains and celebrate the New Year.

New Year's Express: thermal spas, castles and wine

This is a 4-day program where tourists will be able to choose where to celebrate the New Year - on the central square of Berehove near the Christmas tree, or in a restaurant in Mukachevo according to a specially designed program.

In addition, tourists will be able to relax in three thermal pools in Transcarpathia, taste craft cheese and wine, and see the most amazing architectural monuments and snow-capped mountains with their own eyes. The tour also includes an opportunity to meet ostriches and real buffaloes at local farms.
