One of the world's leading airlines, Qatar Airways, announces the introduction of free Internet access for its passengers.

It is noted that Qatar Airways will start equipping its planes with fast Internet from Starlink, a company owned by Elon Musk.

The new initiative will allow airline passengers to use Wi-Fi at speeds of up to 350 megabits per second, providing the opportunity to play games, use VPNs, watch sports broadcasts and much more.

Akbar Al Baker, Chief Executive Officer of Qatar Airways Group, expressed his pride in the agreement signed with Starlink to provide continuous and free Wi-Fi access to passengers around the world. 

It is important to note that high-speed broadband Internet access with minimal latency will be available to all passengers with convenient "one-click access" during the flight.

Qatar Airways and Starlink are currently in the pre-launch phase of a strategy to roll out this service across the fleet.

What other airlines have Starlink Wi-Fi on board?

As you know, Qatar Airways is the fifth airline to partner with Starlink in providing Internet connectivity on its aircraft. 

Other airlines that have expressed a desire to provide Starlink services on their aircraft include: JSX, Hawaiian Airlines, AirBaltic and ZIPAIR.
