For several days now, Israel has been engaged in hostilities against the militants of the Palestinian group Hamas. The parties continue to fire at each other, resulting in the deaths of about 1,600 people on both sides, including Ukrainians, according to the UN.

What has happened in Israel these days?

The Israeli army (IDF) regained control of all the border areas that were seized by Hamas militants on the first day of the conflict. In response to the aggression of the Palestinian group, Israelis are launching massive strikes on the Gaza Strip.

In addition to bombing, Israel also resorted to a complete blockade of Gaza. Jerusalem decided to cut off the supply of water and electricity to the territory of the Strip.

In addition, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, in his last conversation with US President Joe Biden, said that his country would have no choice but to launch a ground operation in the Gaza Strip.

Israel has already mobilized about 300,000 reservists for military purposes. They can be used for the war against Hamas, as well as to confront the Hezbollah group, which may try to open a second front by attacking Israel from Lebanon.

Did ukraine sell weapons to Hamas?

The Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine claims that russian special services are using the Hamas attack on Israel for a large-scale provocation against Ukraine.

"The russian Directorate General of Intelligence has already handed over to Hamas terrorists trophy weapons captured during the fighting in Ukraine, manufactured in the United States and the EU. The next step, according to the russians' plan, should be fake accusations of the Ukrainian military of selling Western weapons to terrorists on a regular basis," the intelligence service said.

According to the Main Intelligence Directorate, russian special services intend to use the relevant comments of the traitor from the Ukrainian Border Guard Service, Senior Lieutenant Ruslan Syrov, who recently fled to Moscow.

The main goal of the russian provocation is to discredit the Ukrainian Armed Forces and to completely cut off military assistance from Western partners.

The war in Israel has already claimed more than 1,600 lives

According to the UN, Hamas's attack on Israel has killed more than 900 Israelis and foreign nationals. The total number of casualties on both sides has risen to more than 1,600, BBC reports.

Among the dead are citizens of Ukraine. According to the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry, two Ukrainian women were killed in Israel. The foreign ministry is currently taking steps to organize the repatriation of the bodies.

At the same time, there is no information on the presence of Ukrainian citizens among the wounded or missing.

At the same time, Foreign Ministry spokesman Oleh Nikolenko said that another Ukrainian citizen may have died in the Gaza Strip. This information is being checked.

Regarding the evacuation of Ukrainians, Ukraine's Ambassador to Israel Yevhen Korniychuk told Ukrainian media that the diplomatic mission cannot organize the departure of citizens to Ukraine, but can help Ukrainians to go to a safe place in one of the third countries.

According to him, Ukraine is trying to arrange a charter flight to Moldova for the end of this week. At the same time, Israel has a problem with airlines that refused to operate flights due to rising insurance prices.
