The Finnish airline Finnair continues to offer 95% discounts for Ukrainian refugees. This is reported by lowcostavia.com.ua.

You can get tickets at a reduced price until November 30, 2023. Discounted tickets can be purchased from four EU cities to the Finnish capital, Helsinki.

Finnair discount for Ukrainians: what is known

Finnair has established ticket discounts as a way to help people seeking refuge from war. This allows refugees to reduce their flight costs and make it easier to get to Finland to seek asylum.

"We are offering a 95% discount on net fares for one-way tickets from Warsaw (except for flight AY1144), Krakow, Budapest and Prague to Helsinki for people leaving Ukraine," the carrier's website says.

Please note that airport taxes and fees are added to the ticket price.

How can I use the Finnair discount?

To get the discount, use the promo code UKRAINE95 when booking tickets. It is important to note that the promotion does not apply to round-trip flights.

It's also worth noting that a 95% discount from the regular fare doesn't mean that the ticket will cost only 5% of the regular price. After the discount, mandatory fees are added to the ticket price, so the cost of the flight will be close to the prices of low-cost airlines.

For example, on October 26, the cheapest ticket from Warsaw to Helsinki costs PLN 634.12 (EUR 138.3). After applying the promo code UKRAINE95, the ticket price will drop to 116.2 zlotys (25.32 euros).  On November 15, you can fly from Krakow to Helsinki for PLN 67.45 after a discount (EUR 14.7).

The cheapest ticket from Prague to Helsinki on November 13 costs CZK 2466 (EUR 101). After the discount, Ukrainians can fly for CZK 750 (EUR 30.7).
