Ukrainians are offered a 95% discount on airline tickets to travel to the Finnish capital Helsinki. However, this offer can only be used when departing from three EU countries. Read more about the discount below.

According to avianews.com, the Finnish airline Finnair offers a discount for Ukrainian citizens. The offer is valid for flights until September 30, 2023.

Where can I fly from?

Yes, a 95% discount on ticket prices will be valid for flights to Helsinki from five European cities:

• Prague;
• Warsaw;
• Budapest;
• Krakow;
• Gdansk.

Please note that when purchasing a ticket, you can get a discount on the fare, but not on airport taxes.

It is also worth noting that the offer is valid only in one direction - from the airports of Poland, the Czech Republic, and Hungary to the capital of Finland. At the same time, the discount does not apply to the Warsaw - Helsinki flight AY1144.

Where and how to book tickets?

Special offer tickets can be booked on Finnair's website.

To select a route, click "Use a discount code" and add the promo code UKRAINE95 to the booking form.

You need to search for a one-way ticket from Krakow, Warsaw, Gdansk, Budapest and Prague to Helsinki only. To do this, select One way in the booking form. If you choose round-trip tickets, the discount does not apply.

For example, the standard price of a flight from Krakow to Helsinki on July 20 is PLN 1027 at the Economy Classic fare. It includes 8 kg of hand luggage and baggage up to 23 kg. If you use the promo code UKRAINE95, the ticket price is reduced to PLN 102 (EUR 22).

Rules for flying to Finland

According to the company's website, Ukrainians can travel to Finland from Schengen countries without a passport, for example, with a birth certificate. However, the usual rules apply to the transportation of animals.
