A free medical center for Ukrainians has opened in the Polish capital. Refugees could receive consultation from doctors of various specialties, including a psychologist. Later, such centers will be opened in other cities of Poland.

The goal is to determine what help the refugees need

The Center for Medical Assistance (Centrum Pomocy Medycznej dla Uchodźców) became a pilot project of the Military Medical Institute and medics of the Armed Forces of the Kingdom of Jordan. This humanitarian assistance program will clarify what medical assistance Ukrainians in Poland require. Many forcibly displaced people stay abroad without medical documents, so access to free medical services will help to restore their medical history.

Who can visit the medical center?

As indicated on the website of the Military Medical Institute, Ukrainians who arrived in Poland after February 24, 2022 can get free services.

Register at the center if you belong to one of the following categories:

• Citizens of Ukraine;
• Spouse of a citizen of Ukraine;
• Ukrainian with a Polish card (Karta Polaka);
• Closest relative of Ukrainian citizens with a Polish card (Karta Polaka).

The following services are available for refugees:

• Consultations of a pediatrician, therapist, gynecologist, surgeon or psychologist;
• Laboratory and visualization diagnostics;
• Vaccinations for adults and children.

The specialists of the center will also take care not only of treatment, but also of preventive measures for refugees.
