Charitable foundations continue to support Ukrainian businesses that had to relocate due to the war. Here's what grants entrepreneurs can expect.

Grants are available to various companies involved in the agricultural and green industries, as well as other businesses that had to relocate their businesses due to the full-scale war.

Assistance to farmers

The Danish Refugee Council (DRC) is implementing a business partnership program aimed at supporting the agricultural sector and food production in Ukraine.

The partnership is offered on a co-investment basis. It provides grant support of up to USD 20 thousand and a mandatory partner contribution of up to 50% of the total project budget.

Such DRC partners can be private enterprises of any form of registration, associations of agricultural producers, utilities, etc.

"Green" recovery

The EU4Environment program supports the "green" industrial recovery and relocation of enterprises in Ukraine. 

The program identifies the recovery needs of displaced industrial enterprises. It also assesses the feasibility and appropriateness of such recovery in specific regions.

EU4Environment is funded by the EU and implemented by a consortium of international partners, including the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD), the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO), the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP), the United Nations Economic Commission for Europe (UNECE) and the World Bank.

Business support and recovery

The USAID Competitive Economy of Ukraine Program. This program accepts grant applications for business continuity and recovery activities. This includes relocating or restoring businesses in times of war. 

The key tool for implementing the USAID CEP program is a national grant program with a budget of $12.5 million for 2018-23. The program has a budget of $12.5 million for 2018-2023. Grants are provided to entrepreneurship development organizations, industry and business associations, and SMEs.
