Against the background of massive problems with electricity, Ukrainian citizens began to travel more often to Poland and other European countries. Rail transportation is not suitable for everyone, so some try to find an alternative, for example, bus routes.

After the start of the full-scale war in Ukraine, the German company FlixBus decided to launch several international routes from Ukrainian cities, in particular to Poland. They have to replace routes that, for obvious reasons, are still impossible from Ukraine.

It is worth noting that a few years ago FlixBus decided to merge with the Polish carrier PolskiBus. After that, the Polish company was legally liquidated. Now, tickets for international and domestic bus routes departing from many Polish cities can be purchased on the website of the German company.

What are the popular international bus routes from Ukraine offered by FlixBus?

Kyiv - Warsaw

Passengers can get from Kyiv to Warsaw by FlixBus buses in more than 21 hours. The price of such a route will be 1798 UAH (with a transfer) and 1949 UAH (direct). The company operates several routes on this route per day. The bus has such amenities as WI-FI and a power outlet.

In the return direction, buses make regular routes.

Lviv - Krakow

Passengers will have to travel from Lviv to Krakow in 7-9 hours (depending on the route). The price for this route is UAH 1,399 (direct route). The amenities themselves.

Kyiv - Lviv

Routes from Kyiv to Lviv are performed regularly. The company makes about 6 flights per day. The price of tickets varies from UAH 449 to UAH 749, depending on the time of dispatch. This route takes about 8.5-9 hours.

In the reverse direction, the pricing policy is the same.

Kyiv - Uzhgorod

The company's buses do not run regularly from Kyiv to Uzhhorod. The journey takes about 13.5-14 hours. Prices for this route are UAH 979.

New routes from FlixBus

It is worth noting that since December 15, the company launched three new routes from Ukraine. One of them will go to the Czech Republic, and the other two will go to Poland. For more details, see the link.

In addition, Flixbus is launching the first direct flight from Ukraine to Germany. Buses will run along the route 4 times a week:

• from Kyiv to Berlin — on Monday, Thursday, Friday and Sunday;

• from Berlin to Kyiv — on Monday, Tuesday, Friday and Saturday.

From February 14, the company opens two new flights from Ukraine to Poland and Germany:

🇩🇪 N3206: Kyiv → Lviv → Berlin → Hamburg → Bremen;

🇵🇱 N3242: Odesa → Uman → Vinnytsia → Khmelnytskyi → Lviv → Lublin → Warsaw.

On March 2, the bus carrier started running the route Kyiv - Warsaw-Modlin Airport.

Route N3220 runs through the following cities: Kyiv - Korosten - Sarny - Kovel - Lublin - Warsaw - Nowy Dwor Mazowiecki (Warsaw-Modlin Airport).

The flight from Kyiv to Warsaw Airport will be operated daily. 

Departure is scheduled for 17:25 from Kyiv Central Bus Station. Arrival at 8:10 the next day at Warsaw-Zakhidna Bus Station and at 9:00 in the city of Nowy Dwor Mazowiecki, where Warsaw-Modlin Airport is located.

Ticket prices for this route start from 1599 UAH for a trip between the final stops.
